                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN FROM
                   6:00 P.M. ON THURSDAY, MAY 7, 1992 TO 12:00
                   MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY, MAY 9, 1992 FOR THE
                   PRESENTATION OF "ARTSTRAVAGANZA 1992"
                   SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA DOWNTOWN
                   ALLIANCE UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Broad Street between 8th Street and M.L. 
King
       Boulevard from 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 1992 to 12:00 midnight
       Saturday, May 9, 1992 and the temporary closing of M.L. King
       Boulevard between Market Street and Cherry Street from 9:00 a.m.
       to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 1992 for the presentation of
       "ARTstravaganza 1992" under the sponsorship of the Chattanooga
       Downtown Partnership provided that the sponsor shall set out and
       pick up all flasher barricades and traffic signs in accordance
       with the traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide,
       at all times, an access lane for emergency vehicles.
